Travel Diary : Hong Kong

By untiled-unicorn - August 11, 2016

HEI GUYS!! OMG! I haven’t update for a long time. Last week or two weeks ago i believe, i just got back from Hong Kong. It was amazing holiday. Hong Kong is like New York but in Asia lol. I love that city though. My mom and I, well we kinda wonder around. We took MTR a lot.Usually every holiday we rarely take like buses or train, we usually relay our trip on taxi. So i will tell you what i do and where did i go while i was in Hong Kong also i will leave some info that i can remember..

Day 1
26 July 2016

I went from Medan to Jakarta at 5 am flight then at 09:35 am i continued my flight to Hong Kong. It took around 4-5 hours flight. We arrived around 4:00PM Hong Kong time. I did some research about the transportation from airport to my hotel and i decided to take bus. My hotel is at Causeway Bay. So i took the bus number A11. It much way cheaper than the train. If i was taking the train it cost me like HK$100 and i need to continue using another train. When i took the bus it just cost me like HK$60 and it was stop in front of the hotel. I kinda confused about how to stop the bus so i kinda looked at people while their wanna stop and i learn slowly. I was stay at Lanson Place Hotel, quite expensive. But i got a discount price which a good deal. It surprise me that they have a great service and a great hotel room. I kinda satisfy with the hotel. Worth the money though.

So after like kinda kinda take a rest and showered and stuff, we decided to go to Tram Peak. Well here you can kinda saw Hong Kong from high place. It so beautiful. Because i went at night it makes more beautiful because it just lights all over and i kinda like “ wow” but it was so crowded so i didn’t really kinda get the vibe. You can like seeking through the info through google. I forgot about the train and how to get there also the ticket price. So you know that if you going home late night, you will be in a long line for the tram. That’s what got me while going home from there.

Day 2
27 July 2016

This day was all about Disney Land. So we went at 07:00 am or 08:00 am. We took train from Causeway Bay to Central then change line to yellow line. There will be a board to follow. So don’t worry you will not be lost. After you get in to that train, you need to stop at Sunny Bay and continue the train to disney. The train is recognizable. Like literally there are many mickey face around the train. You can buy the ticket there or from online. Either way is your choice. There are so many places to play.So we stay kinda until night for the light shows at night. It’s beautiful. You can check out my vlog for some of the clip from that light show. It’s worth to wait though.  Side note that you can’t bring foods or drink from outside. You need to buy inside, which kinda pretty expensive tbh.

Day 3
28 July 2016

So for this day, me and my mom decided to go to two places because we had like little time to go to the places that we have listed. So by the morning, we took train to the Admiralty and took exit where there is bus to ocean park is park. You can just follow the sign and you will be there. The bus is have ocean park sign, it’s easy for us to recognize. Pretty much this place is huge and you can see many animals, like pandas, fishes, penguin and many more. Also there have theme park where you can play and just have fun. You can buy the ticket at there also can use credit card too. We didn’t spend like the whole day there because we need to continue to Big Buddha.

So after lunch, we exit the park and took the bus back to the Admiralty station then we took train to Central and change line to Thung Chung. Is kinda the same like when went to disney, but this time we didn’t stop at Sunny Bay. After arrived there, we out from the station and walk like a mile maybe and when you see escalator just go up and there will be a sign for a tram that will bring you to the big Buddha. Basically they will give you an option if you want basic tram or crystal one. Well we kinda choose crystal one so literally it’s see through. You can literally see what’s going on down there lol kinda scary though.

So when you arrive, it’s pretty much like a village and they will give you a map. You need to walk to get to the big Buddha and also you need to climb up the long long long stairs. Pretty much it could be a workout haha..

Day 4
29 July 2016

So we decided to dedicated this whole day for going to Macau. So early like 7 or 8 in the morning we kinda went out already from the hotel. Then we take trains to Central and took an exit that i follow on internet well actually kinda wrong and me and my mom need to walk pretty far to the ferry. As soon we get there there is kinda the sign where to buy a ticket so don’t worry about those. I was not excited about Macau trip so i didn’t really search many stuffs about it and we end up took a day tour. Which kinda not really excited me first because it’s so freaking hot. Like really you can feel your skin burning second it just didn’t know where to go because most them are casino. So after lunch me and mom decided to went back to Hong Kong. You need to fill immigration slip again and wait in line like in the airport. I didn’t really know how long it took from Macau to Hong Kong because i feel a sleep. Like really sleep because i was super tired. Three days in a row we went home late like in the middle of the night and need to wake up early for the trip. After we get back to our hotel we kinda take a rest until 8 PM then we decided to go shopping. I lived in Causeway Bay which kinda shopping area. We didn’t pretty much shop there. Pretty sure we just buy skin care from Sasa and lush. Like that’s just the places we went there. We kinda get in to Sogo for a while. There is a dim sum place that i like. But sadly it’s hard for them to speak English and hardly to communicate.

Day 5
30 July 2016

So last day at Hong Kong we spent for shopping day. We went to Kowloon because i heard that’s like the center of shopping and yea.. We kinda didn’t buy a lot. I will do a haul soon. Then we went to the Harbour city to buy my jeans. Pretty much we didn’t stay out until late night. Around 10PM we got back and do all the packing because we need to wake up early for our flight.

Day 6
31 July 2016

So we check out from the hotel around 6 AM then took a taxi to the airport. Pretty much it’s a long way. We didn’t want to take the train because our stuffs were heavy. So yea.. It is a beautiful airport but i couldn’t take a photo because i’m pretty because with check in part and stuff so we kinda hurry.

So that’s my travel diary to HongKong. I can’t give much info because i forgot to write. I do hope it’s kinda helpful if you about to go on the trip. Google first before you go. Using the MTR is the cheapest way but it’s too much walking. So be careful with the exit. We use MTR all the time, pretty much i get used to that. Also they are pretty fast in walking, so pretty sure you need to walk fast too or you will bump them.So thank’s for reading guys, have a good day XOXO
